Week 10 has been a rough week for your Elite Insiders. Heading into the Monday Night Football game Chuck and I have the best records at 7-6. The good thing is that, either Chuck or KJ will get their first Expert of the Week award pending the outcome of tonight’s game. Now let’s recap Sunday’s disaster. I took the Packers as my guarantee of the week. On paper everything seemed to be in my favor. The Packers had surprisingly lost two games straight to two very good teams. There is no way the great Aaron Rodgers would lose three game in a row, no way no how. On top of that, they were going against the 1-7 Detroit Lions. The same team that fired their head coach a few weeks ago. I’m glad I’m not a betting man because I would have lost all my money this week. The Lions shocked the Packers on Sunday 18-16. It goes to show that the saying “Any Given Sunday” is perfectly true. I did however call my mini upset pick in the battle of two not very good teams. The Jaguars outlasted the Ravens in a close one. It wasn’t a huge upset but I’ll take it. Looking at tonight’s game, the Bengals should win easily but the way the weekend is going I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an upset. Early in the season I wasn’t a believer in the Bengals and kept picking against them. After about 5-6 consecutives L’s, I gave in and said I wouldn’t pick against them anymore. The Bengals have too much firepower on offense for Houston so they should win fairly easily. Side note: If there was a loser of the week award it would have to go to Trey Crosby. After starting the season on fire, the self-proclaimed “Guru” is sliding fast. He is currently 3-10 this week and will ultimately lose his top spot overall that he has held for the last 2 months.
